Who can own a non-government school?

Only a legal entity of the type approved by the Minister can own a non-government school. The Minister has approved a corporation, registered company or trust, including a religious body, as the types of legal entity that can own a non-government school.

The role of the principal is as delegated by the proprietor or governing body. The principal is usually responsible for the management, day-to-day functioning and routine operations of the school.
