What kind of register will I need to keep in relation to student attendance?

The Principal of a school is responsible for maintaining a student enrolment register

The Principal must also maintain records of student attendance in a register of daily attendance.

The register must include the following information for each student:

  • daily attendance, which may be recorded by noting daily absences
  • absences
  • reason for absence
  • documentation to substantiate reason for absence.
