Boarders' personal development

Boarders' personal development and emotional well-being are provided for and monitored.

Evidence of compliance

A registered non-government school must have in place and implement policies and procedures to provide for and monitor boarders' personal development and emotional well-being that include:

  • personnel responsible for pastoral care
  • identification of and support for students with special needs
  • homework and access to assistance with homework
  • access to counselling where required
  • provision for parent/guardian-student communication.
