Provision of data to the Minister

A registered non-government school must have policies and procedures that ensure it can provide data to the Minister that is relevant to the Minister's annual report to Parliament on the effectiveness of schooling in the State.

The Minister reports annually to Parliament on a range of issues including the results of basic skills testing and the Higher School Certificate examinations. The Regulations under the Act make provision for the extent to which these results can be made public. From time to time the Minister may require additional information for the annual report to Parliament. Schools will be notified if any additional information is required. Such notification will be provided at least three (3) months prior to the information being required.
